MBA-2 Rifle Buttstock

$49.95

The Luth-AR Modular Buttstock Assembly (MBA) for AR style rifles is designed to replace the standard buttstock on your AR. The MBA-2 Rifle Buttstock is designed to work with a standard A2 rifle style buffer tube in a low-cost, lightweight, strong and high-quality design. Similar to the MBA-1, the MBA-2 is designed for those who do not need the additional adjustability of the MBA-1. The modular design of the MBA Buttstock allows you to configure your buttstock to your specific and personal needs, by adding additional adjustability as needed, or none at all.

The MBA-2 requires a A2 Rifle buffer tube. Please review the information provided in the Requirements tab.

The MBA features multiple attachment points for a sling, including molded pockets that will accept Grovtec QD cups, sold separately. A rail attachment is available. Available in Black, or Flat Dark Earth.

Alterations & Modifications Warning

Altering or modifying parts is dangerous and will void the warranty. This Luth-AR Upper/barrel  was manufactured to perform properly with the original parts as designed. It is your duty to make sure any parts you buy are made for this rifle and are installed correctly and that neither the originals nor the replacements are altered or changed. Your Luth-AR product is a complex precision tool with many parts that must relate correctly for proper and safe operation. Assembling a rifle improperly or with incorrect or modified parts can result in a damaged rifle, serious personal injury, or death to you and others through malfunction. Always have a qualified gunsmith work on your rifle, or verify proper assembly and function of any work not performed by a gunsmith.

Barrel Information Warning

To achieve the best results for accuracy you should clean the chamber and bore after every round for the first 25 rounds, then every 10 rounds up to 100 rounds. It usually takes about 200 rounds per barrel for optimum accuracy.

Parts Schematic
The MBA-1 and MBA-2 Buttstocks require the use of an A2 Rifle buffer tube. Use the diagram below to determine if you currently have an A2 buffer tube. If you have a Carbine buffer tube you may want to look at the MBA-3, MBA-4 or MBA-5 buttstock. If you are ordering an MBA buttstock kit, the proper buffer tube is included.

The differences between an A2 Rifle Buffer Tube and a Carbine Buffer Tube.

All MBA Buttstocks are Sling Swivel Ready.

This means that the buttstocks have molded pockets that accept Grovtec Sling Swivel Cups for use with Quick Detach swivels. The Sling Swivels and cups are NOT included with the buttstocks and must be ordered separately. This is to keep the cost of the MBA buttstocks down. Not every customer needs sling swivels and including them would raise the price of the buttstocks. The sling swivels are available separately. See the videos below for installation instructions using the install kit, or using a 1/4″ Allen wrench.

  1. Carl Karder

Nice fit & finish. I like it a lot. The only thing I would change is make the butt pad out of hard plastic & round off on top of it. This will keep it from catching on your shirt while shooting 3-Gun. All & All It’s a nice piece & lighter than a PRS.

  2. Mike Durr

Received the first buttstock of many that I will order. It was shipped and received in a very timely manner. The product itself is very pleasing to the eye and since it seems that form follows function it will. I believe be very functional as well. The construction is very good. made of fiber impregnated material instead of simple polymer plastic. Should be strong and quite functional. It took well to Cerakote and will soon become a part of the build I am working on. It’s eye catching style is surpassed only by it’s well balanced cheek weld and its light weight. This is truly a very nice and inexpensive part. If you are a builder and looking for something to separate a build from the other gazillion AR15’s people put together this is it. The only issue I could find and I had to look hard to come up with one is that the mold joining marks leave a rough edge that requires attending to. I used a little 800 grit sand paper on it before Cerakoting (only took a minute or two) and that made it about as close to perfect as any AR part I have ever used. For sure I will buy more, of both versions and I can’t wait to get it to the range and fire it up

  3. JOHN @ KNAPP’S CUSTOM RIFLES ROUNDUP MT.

Great. MBA and MBA 2 are the stock of choice for me and my customers. They are easy to install and adjust for a ^’5” guy or a 5’2′ gal.

  4. N/A

Looks goregous. The pictures on the website don’t do it justice. It makes an old A2 style rifle look and feel like a new weapon.

  5. Randy Mccrady

Impressive upgrade. This stock is well made and strong. I was worried about purchasing it but don’t let the lower price fool you, this stock is awesome.

  6. roguechopper

I’ve already used over a dozen on builds. The customers love them and so do I. Not only do they look cool, they are light weight and fit perfect for the shooter and the gun. I have them on both of my personal weapons.
