The front sight base on original M16, M16A1 and A2 are shorter than the FSB on flat top ARs. The removable handle and shorter carbine sight radius requires a taller FSB to maintain the correct point of aim – point of impact.

Note: Cross pin holes are not pre-drilled, do not come with any rivets, taper pins or sight parts.
